Assumption of costs

If you already have a cost approval from your health insurance company or the following criteria apply to you, unfortunately the operation cannot take place at the Breast Atelier. We are unable to bill for any services that are covered by health insurance.

In this case, we recommend a consultation at the Center for Plastic Surgery. Please note that the Pyramid Clinic is a private clinic and that you will need supplementary insurance (semi-private/private) for your hospital stay.

Criteria for the assumption of costs

The health insurance company does not assess the visible size of the breast, but whether the overly large breast causes health problems such as back or neck pain.

The following criteria must have preceded a cost approval:

Repeated medical appointments
Intake of medication
Physiotherapy or back training
the patient must be of normal weight (BMI < 25)
the complaints are persistent
the estimated surgically removed breast tissue must be approx. 500g per side

I felt that I was in good hands with Dr. Adelsberger. She is very competent and emphatic. The staff at reception were also very nice and helpful. They took away my fear of the procedure. The consultation was very pleasant. Right from the start, including post-correction of a scar. I was very nervous on the day of the operation. The anesthetist and the assistants were very kind and proactively eased my fears. The pain was less severe than expected. The healing process went relatively well despite a gaping wound, which had to be stitched up again. As one scar did not heal perfectly, I was able to have it corrected without any complications.
