I've actually always been happy with my body and that hasn't really changed much over the years (I'm now 45), even after 2 pregnancies. Thanks to sport, a healthy diet and probably good genes, I have never had to suffer from any major changes. But my breasts are the biggest exception, especially after breastfeeding. No matter how hard I trained afterwards, she became significantly smaller and, above all, much slacker.

For years, I toyed with the idea and dreamed of having beautiful, firm breasts again. Every summer this desire was all the greater because no matter what tops I wore, they just didn't fit.

The decision

At the beginning of July 2020, I finally decided to stop thinking about it and actively started looking for a suitable cosmetic surgeon. It was particularly important to me that the doctor or clinic had the right reputation and experience. After a brief search on the internet, I was lucky enough to find what I was looking for. The Breast Atelier was the first center that immediately appealed to me and thanks to this gut feeling, I immediately and with great pleasure arranged a free consultation.

I immediately liked the calm, natural and authentic manner of Dr. Noever. I felt that I was in good hands and received professional advice from him right from the start. He is extremely professional, explains everything quite objectively and understandably, and is also open to any questions. A pinch of humor wasn't missing either.

On that very day, he took precise measurements of my body constitution and proportions and immediately explained that the selected implant size absolutely had to match my anatomy. It had to be as natural as possible, in other words definitely not larger than average! His posture totally suited me.

But I have to admit that the 3D simulation also really motivated me. The feeling of looking so dreamlike on the monitor is simply fantastic. I would have loved to go straight into the operating room! The before/after pictures of the results that Mrs. Carrozza sent me by email the next day also really impressed me.

During the next few weeks, I thought more and more about the procedure, read all the brochures from Breast Atelier again and again, watched videos on YouTube and spoke to friends on the phone who had already undergone breast augmentation.

Accidentally, I also spoke to my good neighbor in the stairwell who had undergone a breast lift. When I mentioned Dr. Noever, she said to me: « ah, yes, he's top».

The constant thinking came to a clear end at the beginning of August when it became crystal clear to me that I didn't want to wait any longer and was ready for my operation. It was definitely high time!

At the second free consultation, Dr. Noever again took enough time to answer all my questions and explained further details about the procedure and risks, aftercare, anesthesia, etc. Together we also decided that 240 ml with a round implant would be ideal for me. He added that this would be placed under the abdominal muscle and the incision would be below the breast crease. I then made an appointment with Mrs. Carrozza for the operation. Wow, I couldn’t believe it!!!

The day of the breast surgery

On October 30, the big day finally arrived! I particularly remember that last shower when I thought it would never look like that again when I looked down… But how else?!!!! The tension was really enormous.

At 2.00 pm (1 1/2 hours before the procedure) I entered the Breast Atelier. I had my before photos taken and then I registered at the Pyramid Clinic, where the operation took place.

To be honest, I was pretty calm and mainly happy until then. However, when I was welcomed by the nice nurse, my heart started beating much faster. Within a few minutes I was already changed and waiting in bed.

Dr. Noever came quickly, drew on my skin with a green pen and said he would be back in about 20 minutes. As if from heaven, the very friendly anesthetist stood by me, explained all the steps in great detail, left briefly, came back with the nurse and suddenly the three of us were marching to the operating room. Everything happened at lightning speed: I was lying down again, covered with a nice warm blanket, given the breathing mask and a few seconds later I was completely gone…

When I woke up, I really couldn't believe that my breast augmentation was already done, it somehow happened in the blink of an eye… And I was relieved although the not-so-slight pressure I felt on my chest worried me briefly. I even had difficulty breathing deeply, which frankly worried me. A nurse quickly noticed this and immediately informed the anaesthetist. A minute later, she was standing next to me again and explained everything in such a caring manner that my anxiety quickly disappeared. Amazingly, I was allowed to get dressed 2 hours later and went home, but accompanied by two drains and a bag full of painkillers…

After the operation

The first night I could hardly sleep, my back hurt and I still found it difficult to breathe easily. But I have to reveal that I didn't take all the prescribed pain killers. I blithely thought it wouldn't be necessary… If I could turn back time now, I would NEVER save it in my life!!!

The next morning I was freed from the drainage bottles» and thank goodness that made a big difference. The second night went much better, of course thanks to the painkillers. 

You have to wear a supportive sports bra for 4 weeks (day and night) and then another 2 weeks, but only during the day. These bras are not necessarily comfortable at first, but you soon get used to them. Sport is also taboo during this time.

Most of the usual movements can only be done to a limited extent and it is very important to follow the instructions given. Patience is the order of the day!

Other than that, the accompanying discomfort is completely bearable, the pain only lasted for me during the first week.

The subsequent follow-up checks went smoothly and the healing process went as planned. Otherwise you can contact the Breast Atelier at any time. Ms. Amos and Ms. Carrozza are totally helpful, super friendly and open to all kinds of questions.

6 months later

Today, almost 6 months later, I couldn't be happier. The scars are still slightly red but barely visible under the breast crease. I also go jogging, do yoga, handstands, dancing, jumping and so on...

Everything feels absolutely normal and looks incredibly natural. Looking at yourself in the mirror is more beautiful every time!

Now I'm really looking forward to being able to wear a triangle bikini (without padding!) and backless dresses again this summer after ten years.
