My journey to breast augmentation

Even when I was a teenager, I couldn't really get to grips with my breasts. Mainly because of their tubular shape. It was only after a few years that I realized that my breasts had not developed properly during puberty. I finally wanted to change this. I sought advice and it quickly became clear that a surgical reshaping, including augmentation, would make my dream come true.

The first consultation

The day of the operation

I was very nervous as it was my first time in hospital and even more so my first time undergoing a general anaesthetic. But it was all half as bad. Thanks to the very friendly medical staff, I quickly felt at ease. After talking to my doctor and the anesthetist, I was more than reassured. Then it started – after a deep and restful sleep, I woke up again and was anesthetized. When I woke up, I was in slight pain, for which I was given painkillers. I was happily picked up by my husband a few hours later.

The first time afterwards

The first few days were really very pleasant and the painkillers did their job. After that it got a bit more intense, especially at night, but it was bearable thanks to the painkillers. I then returned to work after 3 days, which was manageable.

The healing process

In the beginning, you can't see the end result straight away: a lot of things are still discolored, bulky or swollen. This is completely normal and takes time and patience. I followed my doctor's instructions very strictly. It was important to me not to disturb or interrupt the healing process. This also meant coping with everyday life with a chest strap and compression pants for a long time. This has paid off. 

My conclusion 2 years after the operation

Everything has healed very well, the scars fade the longer the more and I have had no discomfort or complications in the last few months.

It was one of the best decisions of my life to make my wish come true at Breast Atelier. I can only recommend the Breast Atelier and would do it again in a heartbeat.
