There are various methods of breast reduction that are used at Breast Atelier.
Which procedure is used in each individual case always depends on the patient's physical characteristics and is decided by the operating doctor after a comprehensive consultation and examination of the breast.
In the T-method, the incision is made around the areola, where it is joined with a horizontal incision in the inframammary fold.
This form of breast reduction offers an optimal way to treat very large and very sagging breasts, as a lot of excess tissue can be removed via the large opening.
The breast is then reshaped and the nipple is moved further upwards. The transplantation of the nipple can impair the ability to breastfeed and can lead to sensory disturbances.
Advantages
Disadvantages
This surgical method, also known as the Lejour method, saves scars and is particularly recommended for medium-sized breasts that need to be reduced in size and tightened at the same time.
As with the other methods, the surgeon makes the incision around the areola and then moves vertically downwards from there to the inframammary crease, which means that the scar can be kept shorter.
Once the incision has been made, the excess tissue can be removed and the breast reshaped. In most cases, the nipple has to be moved and the surgeon then pulls the skin underneath the nipple together and can thus simultaneously tighten the breast.
The vertical scar is tightened. This can result in wavy scars, but these will smooth out by themselves within a few months. In a few cases, the scars need to be corrected.
With this method, it is important that patients are informed in advance that the result will only be visible after a few months and that the wavy scars will smooth out over time.

Following the operation, many women therefore not only feel a slight loss of volume
