How long has it been since the operation?

It's now been 14 months and I don't regret a single day. Thank you very much for your expert guidance.

How did the operation and the healing process go?

The operation went well and I had very little pain. The first week was pain-free, then I stopped taking the medication and it became a bit challenging.

I had a tough time and for the first two weeks I could only sleep in a raised position, almost sitting up. I would wake up in the night with a lot of pressure in the chest area.

If you work in an office, you can be ready to go again after 2 weeks, I work at school so I would have been better off staying at home for a month. I didn't find the healing process easy, but it was steady. I couldn't touch the scar area for a long time for fear of it bursting open and also because of the pain.

Healing continued steadily. I have no feeling or numbness in the lower scar on either breast. Both scars are healing well, the left one better than the right one. On the right side, I sometimes have tension pain and the scar is still hard. I think the numbness will remain.

How satisfied am I with the final result (after 14 months)?

I am very satisfied and incredibly grateful that I can now finally wear bras.

But nevertheless: physically, it was an intensive time for me. A lot of the feedback is easy to read. Although Dr. Noever takes a lot of time and explains exactly what is going on, some moments were unexpected. I had contact with Mrs. Amos in particular – simply brilliant.

All the people involved in my process – and that was it – are people of the heart. Thank you so much for everything.
