from Dr. med. Nicholas Waughlock
How long you are unable to work after breast surgery depends on both the operation and the work you have done.
After a breast reduction, as well as after a breast lift, normal office work can be carried out again after approx. 3-4 days. The body can also be loaded with up to 15 kg.
In breast augmentation, the position of the implant (above or below the muscle) plays an additional role. If the implants are placed under the muscle, the resting time should be slightly longer. In general, however, the same recommendations apply as for a breast reduction or breast lift. Physical activity that strains the pectoral muscle should be avoided for at least 6 weeks.
