A.H. (20 years old) about her breast enlargement

Treatment by Dr. med. Georg Noever

The reason for my breast augmentation

I knew very early on that I wanted to enlarge my breasts one day. When I went to sixth form, I was no longer happy with my body at all.

I had never liked wearing bikinis and only wore bras with a push-up because I didn't feel comfortable in my body otherwise. There I realized that when I was old enough and had saved enough money, I would have my breasts operated on.

The consultation at Breast Atelier

When I decided to enlarge my breasts at the age of 20, I searched the internet for different options and very quickly came across Breast Atelier.

The homepage seemed very reputable to me right from the start, and it was easy to read about what others had done.

I also found it very convenient that it wasn't a huge hospital, but a clinic where you can also have the operation on an outpatient basis. I then made an appointment, which I got very quickly.

The consultation and choice of implants

During the consultation, my wishes were discussed and a 3D simulation of my body was created. I found this very helpful as it allowed me to see my body before and after. It was shown with the desired implant size from different sides of the body.

I just wanted the bridges to look natural and fit my body. That's why I decided on round implants thanks to Dr. Noever's advice.

Since I had a slightly funnel chest and my breasts were therefore not the same size, we decided to insert 130 ml implants on one side and 170 ml implants on the other. This way the breasts looked as natural and symmetrical as possible. With this decision, I went from a small A cup to a matching B cup, which fits my body perfectly.

Another problem was that I also have almost no fat on my body and it was therefore not possible to put in a larger amount, as otherwise it would have stretched the skin far too much and it would not have looked natural.

On the operation

I had the operation in the morning, which went very well, and was given lunch as soon as I woke up. Everything was explained to me afterwards. As I felt very well and had no real pain, but rather pressure on my chest, which was completely normal, I had to stay there for a moment and was then able to go home.

The day after the operation

In order to drain the wound secretions, I had drains made in both breasts. These are tubes that allow the wound secretions to flow into a container.

When I got home, I was still feeling very well, just a little exhausted and had laid down and taken the medication as prescribed.

Towards the evening, when the anaesthetic and painkillers wore off, the pain intensified. As a result, I had a lot of trouble getting out of bed and lying down again, as every movement hurt.

My mother had to help me with everything. During the night and especially the next morning, the pain became even more intense, despite the painkillers, but the pain wasn't directly in my breasts, there was just pressure there.

The pain was in my ribs, next to my breasts, where the drainage tubes were. I got a real «pinch» with every movement. As a result, I was no longer able to go to the toilet myself.

The follow-up check at the Breast Atelier

The follow-up check took place the day after the operation. I had to be driven back to the clinic. The journey, especially getting in and out, was very painful. The drains were removed during the follow-up check, which immediately made me feel better. I was told that the intense pain was probably caused by the drains, as they were probably right next to a nerve.

Afterwards, Dr. Noever looked at the breasts and said that everything looked very good. At the beginning they were still a little swollen and quite firm, but this became less and less over time.

My new breasts for the first time

When I saw them for the first time, I was happy and super satisfied. I knew that the operation had definitely been worth it, despite the pain. Afterwards, I felt a little better every day.

The first few weeks after the operation

In the beginning, you just have to be patient. I couldn't shower on my own and getting dressed was also rather complicated, which is why I was advised to wear tops with zippers or buttons for the first few weeks, as I couldn't lift my arms higher than my chest.

Immediately after the operation, you are given a support bra which you wear all day and night for four weeks and then only during the day for two weeks. I found this very pleasant as it also gave me the feeling that my breasts were well protected.

On scarring

The scars on the breasts were covered with dissolvable threads, which I could still feel at the beginning, but these dissolved by themselves after a while. The scar itself was initially rather sore from the dried blood, but this also disappeared after a few days. What I can recommend to everyone is, if they work, to take two weeks off.

Now, after about 5 months, the scar is healing very well, it is still slightly pink, but it is getting less and less and you can expect at least a year until you can see practically nothing more.

My conclusion

I am very happy with my breast augmentation and would have it done again at Breast Atelier at any time. The clinic can really be recommended, everything was right for me from start to finish. It can take a long time to make the decision, but it's definitely worth it and I would be happy to recommend Breast Atelier to others!

What I found very good was that everything is included in the price of CHF 8,900 and there were no additional costs. All check-up appointments, surgery, medication, support bras and much more are included, so you can rely on the price, which I think is very reasonable. The first consultation with the 3D simulation was even free, as I had never had one before.
