The various techniques performed at Breast Atelier differ primarily in terms of the incision technique:
1. The i-method according to Léjour is a scar-saving, vertical tightening procedure that is particularly recommended for medium-sized breasts that need to be reduced in size and tightened at the same time. A vertical downward incision can be used to remove excess skin below the nipple.
2. The T-method is particularly suitable for very large, very sagging breasts, as the vertical incision below the nipple is followed by a horizontal incision in the underbust fold to remove sufficient excess skin.
3. The O-method according to Benelli promises good results, especially for smaller breasts. Here, the incision is made exclusively around the areola and excess glandular and fatty tissue is removed from there.
A breast lift with implants is recommended for women who want to retain their original breast size or who want larger breasts. In this case, a silicone implant provides more volume and at the same time firms and smoothes the skin.
The results of a breast lift alone do not last a lifetime, as the breast is still subject to the natural ageing process even after the lift and can lose shape and volume again. A breast lift with implants usually leads to longer-lasting results thanks to the firmer structure of the implant.
Whether breasts lose tension and fullness after weaning depends on the weight of the breast tissue, the amount of fat in the breast tissue and the elasticity of the skin.
For women who want their breast shape and size back after weaning, there are different solutions.
The volume of the new breast depends on the existing breast soft tissue, but can be supplemented with an implant if necessary. During the approximately two-hour procedure, the breast is reshaped internally and the skin over it is tightened.</p
The incision procedure varies depending on the method. The removal of tissue and skin also changes the position of the nipples. In order to achieve an attractive aesthetic result, the areola is therefore adjusted in relation to the new breast and the nipple is lifted into its new position without affecting sensitivity or the ability to breastfeed.
You must remain in the day clinic for at least 2 hours for monitoring, after which you may be collected. The first wound check will take place the next day. Any drains will then be removed and any risks identified. In the following weeks, you will wear a supportive sports bra to immobilize the area. Proper scar care is just as important over the next few months.
