I have gained and lost weight from time to time in my life between the ages of around 18 and 32 – and in a relatively short time. Over the years, this led to my breasts losing volume and my skin becoming increasingly saggy. I felt extremely uncomfortable in my body.
At the age of 34, when I was very active in sports, I thought about a breast reduction and -lift. The desire to change something became more and more concrete.
I had repeatedly toyed with the idea of having surgery. Every time I did some research, I came across the Breast Atelier website again. The professional appearance and the testimonials from other women finally convinced me to pick up the phone and make an appointment.
After a telephone appointment, I had my first consultation with Dr. Waughlock. I felt very well advised and understood right from the start. After a day to think about it, I decided to have the operation.
I was very nervous and also a bit scared - it was my first operation under general anesthetic. But the whole team - from the assistants to the anesthetist and the doctor - was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The operation went well. I had some pain at first, but I was quickly given a stronger painkiller which helped immediately. They kept checking on me to see how I was doing. Later I was given coffee, water and a snack. After about 3 to 4 hours, I was allowed to leave the clinic – my friend picked me up by car.
The first night was difficult – the drains that were inserted were very uncomfortable. They were removed the next day, which was a great relief for me. To my surprise, I hardly had any pain during the whole process. It was sometimes uncomfortable, but I never had any real pain.
In the beginning, I found it difficult to walk or go for a walk because I was very cramped – I didn't want to „break anything“. Changing the special tapes was also a challenge at first: the first three times it made my circulation falter. After that, however, it got better every time.
Since I wasn't working at the time, I was able to recover well and had constant support from my boyfriend. After about two weeks, I was able to do almost everything myself again - slowly and carefully.
About two months later, I noticed that a thread of the suture had worked its way from the inside to the outside. I took a photo and was contacted directly by Breast Atelier. I was allowed to come in the same day. They took their time, shortened the thread and looked at everything in peace.
I am more than satisfied with the result – and very glad that I dared to take this step. I would do it again at any time! I feel so comfortable in my body and can finally wear nice bikini tops or tops without having to constantly adjust the „contents“.
I had imagined the operation and the pain to be much worse than it actually was. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Breast Atelier.
